(ThyBlackMan.com) Lil Wayne made himself a household name by being one of the most popular rappers in the industry today. But recently in an interview he stated that rap is getting boring.  Rap getting boring? Are you serious? Rap is what put your name on the map and you’re bored.

So what’s next on the horizon for Lil Wayne? Maybe it’s skate boarding. Yeah Little Wayne says that he plans on taking a break from rapping for skateboarding instead. In an inter viewer with DJ Drama on Atlanta’s Hot 107.9 Lil’ Wayne said that he’s putting rap on the back burner.  For Lil’ Wayne rap is taking a backburner to skating and he says that skateboarding is a lifestyle and no longer a habit.   

Lil Wayne has been making music since he was eight. He’s about to turn 30 in September, he’s still rapping and he says that he feels old. Lil’ Wayne has also been dealing with rumors supposedly being spread by Chief Keef that Lil’ Wayne is homosexual, even though Chief Keef denies the allegations. Lil  Wayne has no time to worry about Chief Keef spreading mess because he’s too busy preparing for his appearance at the IHeart Music Radio One Festival that will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada on September 21st and 22nd at the MGM Grand Arena.

Rap concerts, ignoring rumors and taking on his new lifestyle of skate boarding is keeping Lil Wayne busy as always.  According to All Hip Hop News Rapper Lil Wayne has partnered with Mountain Dew to build a skate park in his hometown of New Orleans.

The new deal is part of a new partnership between Lil Wayne, Mountain Dew and Blueprint Group. Blueprint Group is a new artist development and management company that was formed as a result of a merger between Gee Roberson’s Hip Hop Since 1978 and Bryant’s Bryant Management.

Under the new partnership between Blueprint Group, Lil Wayne and Mountain Dew, a new advertising partnership will be launched titled “DEWeezy.” The rapper’s campaign will feature advertisements, personal appearances and the building of the skate park.

On the money end of things Lil Wayne was in Sin City making his debut at the annual Magic Convention. While there he introduced his own Trukfit clothing line and his skate shoe collection for SUPRA. Lil Wayne is in an exclusive partnership with Supra and will be overseeing a new line of sneakers with designs that are inspired by him. The collection is scheduled to hit stores in 2013.
