President Obama Pied Piper of Promises, Race and Things.

(ThyBlackMan.com) Oozing with contempt, bombast, bravado, and arrogance but void of a plan describes the speech President Barack Obama gave to the Democrat National Convention to justify his re-election. Strutting onto the stage before his adoring base, President Obama launched into  the same tirade we’ve heard many times before: class warfare, Osama bin Laden is dead, I inherited a mess, I need more time, “change is a coming.”

You elected me to tell you the truth,” shouted [resident Obama. The sad thing is we’re not getting any truth. In 2008, Obama  said if he couldn’t turn things around in four years, he should be a one-term president. But those pledges dissolved into preacher like demands Thursday night. Obama mentioned hope 15 times, telling the crowd he’s never been “more hopeful about America.” It’s just delivering on those promises of change he doesn’t want to talk about.

What was particularly shocking about his speech was when Obama declared like Richard III or Julius Caesar, presiding over a kingdom, “I’m no longer just a candidate. I’m the President.” Being elected the first black president, Obama seems to think he’s been given a mandate to do as he pleases, ignore the  wishes of the American people, and not compromise to realize his radical vision of remaking America into a “fairer” totalitarian state, in which other people’s money is redistributed to the masses.

The subtext here is Obama will continue pushing the same old hackneyed polices which created 42 months of unemployment above 8%, gridlock in Washington, $16 trillion in debt and the first credit downgrade of America. In using the word “refuse” several times, he was telling Republicans he won’t work with them.

President Obama promised more “investing” that is government spending with no attention to reigning in our deficits: wind and solar energy, more $500 million Solyndra loans, more government student loans, higher taxes on the rich, climate change, healthcare, more job killing regulations on Wall Street.  You get the idea.

Obama sounded like a president on the ropes, an attack dog, running from his record when he turned his fiery words to mocking Romney as “being new to foreign policy.”  If anyone acts foreign to foreign policy it’s Obama, who has made the United States a less safer nation, as Romney said in Tampa. Obama has alienated Israel for the Palestinians, allowed Iran to become nuclear, stood by while radical Muslims rose as leaders from the dust of the Arab Spring and allowed Assad to slaughter the people of Syria.  P.S.- It was Bush’s enhanced interrogation techniques, waterboarding to be exact, which Obama rejected, that enabled CIA and the Navy SEALs to capture bin Laden.

In her Republican National Convention speech Condoleeza Rice detailed how Obama’s lack of leadership abroad has led the world to see America as a nation in decline. “They see a government that continues to borrow money, mortgaging the future of generations to come.  The world knows that when a nation loses control of its finances, it eventually loses control of its destiny, “ Rice remarked.

Despite our fragile economic state, our soaring debt, another bad jobs report and the Congressional Budget Office’s prediction unemployment will climb to 9% if the Bush tax cuts aren’t extended for everyone, President Obama gave no serious plan to cut spending. Mitt Romney committed to creating 12 million jobs through a five step plan: making America energy independent by 2020, strengthening education through school choice, forging new trade agreements, cutting our deficit and reducing taxes on businesses by repealing Obamacare.

While “President Obama promised to begin to slow the rise of the oceans and heal the planet,” said Romney. “MY promise…is to help you and your family. I will begin my presidency with a jobs tour. President Obama began with an apology tour.”

The choice is between two different paths for America,” as Obama said. Romney, who has both public and private sector experience, turned around businesses, created jobs, and reduced Massachusetts’s unemployment to 4.7%. Or Obama, who is thick on promises, thin on results, who rose from being an unknown Illinois state senator with no voting record to a Senator who ran for president in 2007 a year into the job.

In the movie 2016 , writer Shelby Steele described Obama as the racial redeemer, the black candidate who at last would absolve whites of their guilt. Steele said “Obama was elected because he was black and he knew it.” No other candidate with such little experience could have risen to president were it not for his race, noted Steele.

Steele explained that whites felt gratitude voting for Obama and that’s what Obama is counting on again in 2012. While he exclaimed “you see, the election four years ago wasn’t about me,” that’s exactly what it was and  is still about. This is why during the 2008 campaign and into his presidency Obama and the mainstream media exploited his race to cover up for his inexperience and incompetence. Any criticism leveled against him by his opponents is quickly labeled racist because he’s the first black president and shouldn’t be held accountable to the same standards scrutiny as his predecessors.

In accepting his party’s nomination, Obama seemed  to covey an arrogance, almost daring the American people not to vote for him again, telling them because he’s special, the nation’s first black president, he deserves more time to fix things. As the Hoover Institution’s Victor Davis Hanson wrote,  in 2008 voters were “led to the polls by the mellifluous music of a pied piper.” I don’t think they’re going to fall for the same tune again. The music just doesn’t sound as sweet a second time.

You have the Republican dogma down to a science. All the one-sided things you’ve said about President Obama, Mitt Romney has said, but he hasn’t as yet offered anything but criticism. Romney repeats the job situation, and he as well has everyone else know the factories have been outsourced to Asia, and by companies like Bain, Romney’s company. And you failed to discuss Healthcare, the biggest legislation for working people since civil rights. And then you want to give President Bush credit for Ben Laden’s demise. Because of President Bush’s torture techniques!
H.L.Menchen, famous writer, editor and columnist once said …That American democracy is the worship of jackals by jackasses. I wish he were alive to see the irony, with Fox News and people like you.

This article seems only unilateral. You didn’t mention one positive thing about Obama not even the change that he is bring about health care. Do we need to remind you that he is the first president since 1912 who was able to do this? How come, you didn’t say a word about the oppositions that he has from Republicans when he proposed several changes? You know that for decades Black unemployment have been double, etc. We would like to read an article that you penned in the past where you criticised at the same level a White president. We are sure that you never did that!!!

Great Article. You have convinced my that President Obama, is not deserving of a second term. Now, I would like to hear your case in support of Mitt Romny. It’s going to be one or the other.
