(ThyBlackMan.com) We hear a lot about pimps and hustlers, and many of today’s youth tend to look up to and admire such men. But forget about pimping females for a minute. What I want to know is: are you ready to pimp your life?
What I’m getting at is: what good is it to admire the guy who has pretty girls working strip clubs and corners for him, when your own life is a hot mess? You need to focus on YOU. Learn how to take the life YOU have, and turn it into something worth talking about.
Again: this ain’t about females. This one here is all about YOU.
It all starts with a life plan. What do you want to do with your life? Where do you want to go? You want to drive a Phantom? Lambo? Bugatti? Benz? Want to 
live downtown on the top floor of that penthouse overlooking the city skyline like a king? What do you want to do with your life? How will you make it count?
Abandon those pipe dreams of being the next big rap star, famous ball player, pimp of the year or the next Tony Montana. That’s right: I called it a PIPE DREAM, because that’s what it is. You need something more realistic, down to earth, and closer to your own level of possibility to accomplish. You need to realize the game is much bigger than just sports, music and criminal enterprise. There’s a whole world of options available for a young brother to get his hustle on, in a field that won’t cost you your life. You just need to broaden your perspective a little and see what’s actually out there.
Find a field to work in that’s closer to who you are; something that’s LEGAL. If you don’t have the skills to enter directly into it, find out what it takes to get into that line of work. Then start preparing to make your grand entrance.
For instance, there aren’t many brothers working in the financial sector. Yet there’s a huge market and opportunities for black men to work in this field, especially in light of Africa’s financial sector exploding these days. Money management, stock brokers, investors, investment banking, hedge fund managers. Did you know there are jobs out there that will pay you $250,000 a year to travel the world, stay in five star hotels, eat at the finest restaurants, and wear the finest Italian suits? They’re called international investment bankers. It’s an actual JOB. Look it up.
Maybe working in the banking field doesn’t appeal to you. Perhaps you like cutting hair. Did you know there are millionaire barbers out there?Many live in your own city. Look it up on Google. Do a search on millionaire barbers. It’s kinda eye opening.
Maybe you’re good at fixing things around the house. Did you know a self-employed plumber or electrician can easily earn six figures to over a million dollars a year? I know one electrician here in Atlanta who grosses close to $10 million a year! That’s a lot of bread for a ‘blue collar’ line of work.
These are just a few simple ways to get your money game on. There are millions of ways to earn legal bread, without jeopardizing your life, health and freedom. They’re all around you. You just have to get out there and find them. Pimpin’ is all about control. It’s being in control of your own life, and not allowing someone else to control you. Some of you need to take control of your life because presently, your life is stagnant. You’ve been sitting idle, watching life pass you by. It’s time to stop being a bench warmer and into the game!
If you’re not actively controlling your life, who is? If you don’t have any definable set goals for yourself, how are you living? Are you living by default? That ain’t no way to live! Life was meant to be lived on purpose, not by accident. Give up that laziness, break out that pimp cup, and make your next pimp move be your best pimp move, by pimping yourself.
