(ThyBlackMan.com) I like Obama. He is smart, promotes the values of family and what it means to be a father and a husband, but his policies leave a lot to be questioned. I am not fond of the republicans, or the Democratic Party, especially the true GOP candidates trying to become the next President of the United States. But I do like and respect Dr. Ron Paul – libertarian like me, who has been reduced to run under the Republican banner when the Republican Party hates him with avarice and conviction. So if it came down to it, I would select Dr. Ron Paul over Barack Obama, Esquire anyway and let me tell you why.
To start off, more than five years ago, before any of the current slate of GOP hopefuls or prior democratic contenders, he saw and said what would happen if government continued on its fatuous ways. Even before Obama, he described the current state of America’s Federal government as a philosophical danger that only represents the status quo. He described it as immoral because both republicans and democrats in the executive and legislative branches of government were destroying our personal and economic liberties. Five years ago he stated that they believe in internationalism over the constitution and that banking, the military industrial complex, the prison industrial complex, medical industry, the insurance industry and pharmaceutical industry interest are placed before the interest of the American people in the name of profits.
Many of us, as ill-informed as we are, forget that the austerity measures via stimulus as pronounced by Bush and Obama, and countries in Europe, are not what is needed to deal with the problems resulting from the financial crisis of 2007 but instead aid the speculators who brought the crisis in the first place. Paul is the only person who addresses this.
He speaks openly how the UN uses America to act against its own interest and how they took us to war after WW II in Korea and that we have been there ever since. He points out how our major trade agreements including NAFTA and our involvement with the IMF, WTO and World Bank drain US economic resources for other nations and not ours. He is against internationalism and believes most government should be local as well as speaks openly how democrats and republicans alike are weak on immigration and do not care about the nation’s borders based on past inaction.
To bring our budget under control he notes we needs to stop spending. Unlike Republicans, he will not cut domestic programs to do this but rather stop all foreign aid abroad, close all of our military bases abroad, and bring home all of our troops. If we don’t take such measure, not only will our sovereignty be questionable, but we will have an even bigger financial crisis and a collapse of the dollar is his view.
His observations are well supported as both democrats and republican administrations amass massive deficits that continue to grow annually. He attacks republicans for when Bush was elected, he doubled the size of the Department of Education, increased entitlements and implemented a prescription drug program, none of which were paid for.
He says that the federal government spends too much, tax too much, borrow too much and print too much. This has resulted in a currency and sovereign debt crisis. He would end the IRS and not replace it with anything using history as a framework saying that the nation lived without an IRS until 1913 when it was established (16th amendment). He would prefer tariffs and similar fees.
What makes him different from the Republican candidates and Obama is his understanding and approach to foreign policy. A common example of his is showing how Osama bin Laden and Saddam Hussein used to be our allies and then became our enemies. Our aid t these nations and our presence in Saudi Arabia for example fuel their hate. We give billions to Israel annually and three times as much to Arab states because of our global policeman stance and desire to want in roads to Middle Eastern oil. Cutting foreign aid alone would save hundreds of billions annually and would be sensible foreign policy if taking care of America was more important than policing the world putting military lives at risk. For as Ron Paul ask, who do US troops in Germany and Japan help America’s defense and protect our national interest? As it stands, the US military is in 130 countries and have more than 700 bases around the world at a staggering annual cost.
He believes we should become energy dependent, drill at home and develop alternative fuels here in our own backyard. Government from his perspective should not give any global multi-national corporation loan guarantees because it fosters malinvestment and obviates free-market. Why because from his perspective, welfarism and corporatism create more and more poor and hungry people.
Last but not least, unlike Obama or the GOP, Paul believes in legalizing freedom of choice to the extent of legalizing marijuana. His position is that it should be obviated from the jurisdiction of the federal government and that states should be left to decide to regulate it as was the case before 1937. This is both a 10th amendment and free market issue from his perspective.
Now I could speak more on his desire to get citizens to understand the importance of monetary policy to how the Federal Reserve is responsible for job destruction in the nation through fixing interest rates and expanding money, and not liquidating debt to let prices fall subsequently propping up bad debt, but I doubt if most folks take their politics to the same level as I do prior to selecting a candidate. Another reason why I like Paul over Obama, he is the only candidate talking about a return of the Gold standard since history shows us all great nations who went off the Gold standard eventually failed.
Bottom line is based on policy and position alone, Dr. Ron Paul is what I desire in a President more so than any of the GOP fanatics and President Obama. I do not select a person because he looks like me or is the same color or race. The way I see it a rapist, black or white is still a rapist. Unlike many black folks in America, I study the issues and do not vote based on trivial pursuits or because someone tells me I should. I am no Uncle Tom but for me it is Dr. Ron Paul over Obama any day. Im just saying – so call in tonight and let us know what u think.
Great article! I’m a long-time Ron Paul supporter, and have a few comments concerning what others have posted here. First, with regard to the allegations that Ron Paul is a racist, he is not. Ron Paul has been personal friends with the Austin President of the NAACP, Nelson Linder, for 20 years, and Mr. Linder says that the allegations are ridiculous. (Google it). With regard to the 20 year old newsletter — yes, the newsletter had Dr. Paul’s name on the cover, because he was like the publisher of the newsletter, but he rarely even read it and didn’t screen the content. The articles were written by various authors, and Dr. Paul had no knowledge of the inflammatory content. His district has known about it for 20 years, and have consistently re-elected him. It’s ancient news and a non-issue.
At Dell Gines: Dr. Paul believes that government should not restrict personal freedom, and yes, that COULD hypothetically result in a private business discriminating based on race, religion, etc. BUT IT WON’T. The reason it won’t is because the President can’t just snap his fingers and repeal the laws that make racial discrimination illegal. Congress, the Senate and the Supreme Court would all have to agree with him, and that would NEVER HAPPEN. But there ARE 2 things that President Paul has said he will do immediately upon taking the Oval Office, and these two things are entirely within the President’s power, alone.
1. As commander in chief of the armed forces, he will immediately end all of the wars we are currently involved in and bring the troops home. This will not only save thousands of lives, but will save the country 100’s of billions of dollars per year, dramatically restoring our economy.
2. He intends to issue a presidential pardon for EVERYONE convicted of a non-violent drug-related crime. As you know, black people are disproportionately convicted and discriminated against in this area — many more blacks than whites are convicted of drug-related crime. Dr. Paul intends to set them all free immediately.
Please check your home state’s rules on voting in the Republican primary. In some states, everyone can vote in the primary elections. In other states, you have to register as a Republican to vote in the primary. The Republicans hate Dr. Paul because he will end the wars, and the Republican party has been hijacked by the Neo-Cons who work for the companies the make billions off of the wars. So they will do whatever they can to stop him from winning the primary. So it’s up to us to Register as Republicans this year to vote for Dr. Paul in the Primaries. If he can get past the resistance from the Republicans, he WILL beat Obama in the general election, and within 2 years, this country will be out of debt and back to having international good will. We can save this country, and offer our children something more than war and debt. PLEASE register as Republican for just this primary, and vote for Dr. Paul! I honestly believe that he is the only chance we have.
Thank you for listening.
I am with you for certain and will be voting Ron Paul in 2012. Freedom for all really
Is popular! Thanks for the truthful article friend.
Thank you for a great article. The war on drugs are waged against poor communities of color. Ron Paul would do away with the war on drugs. He also said that he would pardon all non-violent drug offenders. Pardon means record wiped out and so it should. These are victimless crimes. Continue spreading this message.
I’m white and I am pleasantly surprised at the support for RP being shown here. I know if I was a black man, I’d be pissed at how this Uncle Tom hoodwinked the bulk of you. What was it, 95% of black people voted for him? It’s certainly understandable, even for the moderately politically knowledgeable individual. The ones that truly understand the corruptness of the establishment should’ve known better though, IMO.
Both Bushs, Clinton, and Obomba are all in the same elitist crooked tyrannical club. There is no 2 party system, just one establishment party playing everyone for fools. Now the MSM is trying to shove a reincarnated idiot George Bush down our throats (Perry). That guy is a total tool. A member of ‘the club’, and will lie out his ass to get elected…just like Obomba, whose true history has been shielded from the public.
Ron Paul is a true man of integrity. His ideals unwavering. His record impeccable…and is the most non-racist candidate on the ballot, way more so than Obama. Equality, freedom, respect for civil liberties…he’s been fighting for these things for years. He is Dr. King and one of our best forefathers of this country rolled up into one. History will treat this man very well.
For any of you guys sitting on the fence, don’t be fooled by the paid for MSM lap dogs. Do your own research on Dr. Paul. The man is a Saint and is the REAL DEAL. I hope to see you guys supporting him. The ideals of Liberty and Freedom are color blind, as I try very hard to be. Many kudos to the author!
Every African American should watch this documentary, MAAFA 21 http://www.maafa21.com
This film can make one reconsider voting for candidates who have been bought and paid for by these elitists and corrupt companies. They’re killing black America and beyond.
Vote for people who have a long consistent record of intelligence and principles on true freedom. Vote for the person who those companies don’t want you to vote for. Vote for the person who understands the rule of law and our constitution.
Its that simple, vote for the constitution! Vote for the person who doesn’t compromise for money or power and will uphold their oath.
Please research Ron Paul, he’s got the best record I can find.
I am a White male and a Ron Paul supporter. Through the Paul campaign I have seen many postings and video of black Americans coming out in support of Dr. Paul. Every time I see this it fills me with so much hope because I believe that the black community is the one that has had it’s finger on the pulse of the injustices that occur from the upper echelon of society. The black community had there finger on what was going in the sixties and the white community is just now figuring it out. However misguided there actions and solutions might be, the Weathermen, the BLA, Black Panthers and Nation of Islam behavior was a logical reaction to the elitist economic and social oppression that reigned down. They just got it wrong when they came up with violent and Marxist solutions. I guess what I am trying to say is that I am kinda looking for more black leadership in getting this guy into office so that the socioeconomic monopoly can be undone. I am pleased that is taking place.
Thanks for the article Torrance.
Fantastic article! Thank you!
I like your article. I feel like a lot of people cling to Obama because he’s so Likeable. Duh. He is. But that doesn’t make a good president in the long run.
REGISTER REPUBLICAN to vote for Ron Paul in the GOP PRIMARY. Lots of people don’t understand if they are registered democrat or independent that they CANNOT VOTE for Ron Paul in the GOP primaries. Get the word out.
I’m a 40 year old black man, a republican, I despised Bush, the debt he got us in, the wars, how much he grew the government, the “stimulus” and bailouts. Though I didn’t vote for him, I had a tiny glimmer of hope that Obama would stick to his promises once he assumed the mantel. That glimmer soon vanished. Ron Paul gets my vote and for all the reasons outline in your article.
@ Dell Gines
Just what is Dr.Paul’s position concerning the Federal Reserve and can you please enumerate why it is “stupid”?
Maybe you are too busy with the yawn inducing minority whine of the week.
Great article. I would vote for Ron Paul over Obama too. People unfairly think that I would vote for Obama just because of my skin color. That’s racist, and I am far too intellectual to be labeled as such.
Excellent article sir. I have followed Dr Paul for over 11 yrs. I have voted Democrat and Republican. Dr Paul speaks true wisdom. I hope all that read this article research Dr Paul and support him. God Bless America
Great article. The establishment has always lied to the people while robbing us blind. Your article has many examples of this like the federal reserve and the wars. They use us as slaves to fight for them and make money for them while they lie to us about all they want to do for us. Ron Paul is the MLK of today and he has great momentum because he appeals to everybody who wants to be free, who is fed up with the feds, the police, the laws and talking heads who want to run other peoples lives. Ron Paul want to be president to do less, to make Government get out the way and let people be free to live their lives as they want. He is my President!
@Dell Gines Do you honestly believe that, as President, Ron Paul will set his mind toward repealing civil rights, voting, affirmative action, employment discrimination, and housing discrimination legislation? You don’t show much criticism of his fiscal policy and seem to agree with his non-interventionist stance (which directly relates to the fiscal policy). As we have all heard said recently, “it’s the economy stupid!” Surely you are not going to refuse to vote for this man out of some ill-conceived notion that he is going to strip all these rights away while overlooking that he is the ONLY candidate who has an actual vision for getting the economy back where it ought to be.
This is why everyone should support Ron Paul for president:

Mr. Stephens: I would love it if YOU would consider running for office!
I’m a white guy who voted for Obama, but I’ll be voting for Ron Paul this time around.
You tend to look a little deeper than rhetoric when your business of over 10 years dies, your investments tank, you cannot get a job, and prices for life’s necessities are going up.
We didn’t start down this path with Obama, but he’s taking us further along rather than offering any sort of change. (I’m still waiting for those troops to come home. So much for being the “first thing” he’d do)
What bothers me most as I research the topics of the day is how brazenly the media and the majority of our “leaders” (formerly representatives) lie about what they’ve been doing.
They quite obviously see us as their cash cows and fodder for their cannons. It’s disgusting.
Ron Paul is the only choice because he’s the only one telling the truth and he provides thoughtful solutions that are in alignment with the Constitution.
Fantastic article, Mr. Stephens. I’ve not decided on a candidate yet but this article does shed some light on important issues. Keep up the good work!
hey JC,are you ok with a black man ‘discriminating’ against a KKKlansman owned restaurant? should blacks be forced to patronize such abhorrent places?
ron paul is fully in support of removing GOVERNMENT discrimination. private people are free to be jerks if they want.but honestly,is that a badge anyone would want to carry today ‘.hey ,look,i am a racist jerk. ‘.ofcourse not.
the welfare state has destroyed the black family.as thomas sowell, the great black economist so eloquently put: the welfare and foodstamp have done to black families what centuries of slavery could not.today 72% of black children are born in single parent or out of wedlock families.irresponsible women and men who can count on doles from the state are bringing forth children who will never understand what it is to have a normal family. well done, welfare state.
Great article! We only have one chance to show our children what peace and prosperity really looks like. Republican, Democrat both tow the same line.. war and corporate profit in the name of democracy. Spread the word fast and hard..
Super Article.
I get my hopes up when I read articles like this, then obviously get a little disappointed when I read comments like what dell gines posted. Who obviously subscribes to a system that perpetuates injustice by a misguided idealogy “it’s your responsibility to make things -right-” in the very system that creates the wrong by using the very same practices that perpetuated the wrong in the first place. In other words, he wants to correct economic/social injustices of the past by perpetuating said injustices on other groups of people today.
Anyways, I am glad you get it. The message of true freedom and liberty would and can only correct the injustices of the past by rewriting the way society should be. NOT FORCING CORRECTION IN A SYSTEM THAT SYTEMATICALLY PERPETUATES ALL SORTS OF INJUSTCIES – it just compounds the issue.
Good going on your article.
WOWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!! Don’t mean to sound disrespectful. there’s no other way to say it but I am black, and CANNOT get my friends’ heads out of Obama’s butt…no matter the facts I present to them. Thank you.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! This was so very well written. I truly appreciate such an honest piece of journalism – this is what EVERYONE should be doing, whether they are red, white, black, green or yellow. Bravo to you! I hope more Americans take your lead and think for themselves instead of listening to what the media is telling them to do.
Holy smokes and batman. It seems I have to perpetually debunk these “let’s vote for Ron Paul” articles. So I will again.
I absolutely fundamentally agree with Mr. Paul on some key areas. Particularly the prison industrial complex, the rejection of some of our interventionist policies and the war on drugs. His stance on the Federal Reserve is stupid, as is the concept of the return to a gold standard. We can debate that at another time.
This is next piece is directed at BLACK people who value NOT being redlined, and NOT being gentrified without repentance, and who value NOT being legally discriminated against.
This all starts with the fundamental philosophy of libertarianism which is an ideological position that devalues centralization, public sector intervention, and protected classes capacity to in some forms be reparated. Let’s start there.
If a libertarian philosophy would have been in place historically, there would have never been civil rights legislation, votings rights would have been called to question (because of the desire for independent state decision making), historical affirmative action legislation would not have been in effect, and redlining, employment discrimination, and housing discrimination would be overtly allowed.
Are you really cool with that? Really? That is the ideology of the party of Paul.
Here is the fundamental tenent of libertarianism for those of you who haven’t done your homework – from http://www.libertarianism.com
“Another way of saying this is that libertarians believe you should be free to do as you choose with your own life and property, as long as you don’t harm the person and property of others.”
On the surface this sounds cool…right? Something you can nod your head to and pump your fist. But everything I mentioned above that would NOT have occurred on behalf of Blacks is a result of this ideology.
Now, fundamentally I don’t really disagree so much in principle to that libertarian statement with a big IF. IF we were never historically exploited, historically under and un educated, had the same capacity to develop wealth, control and power. Had the same strength of dynamic and high level social networks, then I would say hell yes. Let’s do it. We as Blacks can compete with anyone on earth fair and square. The reality is it wasn’t and isn’t fair and square.
The fact is that if you adopt a libertarian philosophy post slavery and without the power to economically thwart racism, you lock in a system that perpetuates inequities that occur BECAUSE OF SLAVERY AND RACISM.
If you have a headstart every race, and we run the same speed no matter how many times we run the race YOU WIN. The only way for us to tie, as our equal speeds suggests that we should, is for either you to have your head start eliminated, or me to be moved up in starting position equal to you. LIBERTARIANISM has no ideological ability to do either of those two things.
In otherwords, libertarianism has no capacity to correct historical abuses of one particular race, class, or gender…thereby retaining the disparities perpetually in the current system under the guise of liberty.
THINK yo…
A compilation of videos I have collected from veterans over the last five months. As veterans we have a duty to the American people to let them know that we overwhelmingly support the candidate of peace and the champion of The Constitution. Please share. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yP8q7fc7TR4&feature=youtu.be
I am in total agreement with your blog and personally want to thank you for taking the time out to write it. I have been a Democrat all my life. i have been voting Democrat for as long as I remember. But I have been disillusioned. Now I am voting on the substance of the candidate’s platform and beliefs not party affiliation. I hope Americans will put aside their bias and emotion, and seriously and objectively consider Ron Paul’s positions and solutions on all issues. Then make your decision. There is just so much of our future and our children’s future at stake that we can not be apathetic anymore. The people of America must make their voices heard. The power of the people will not be crushed.
Veterans.
If you support Ron Paul, call your parents and tell them to support the troops by supporting Ron Paul.
Great article.
The only thing anyone needs to understand about the Federal Reserve is that it’s a private group of bankers that have the sole authority to counterfeit money. What happens when people counterfeit money? They rob YOUR money of value and make you poor. It is an inherently evil institution and the bankers gave it such a boring unassuming official sounding name intentionally so you wouldn’t pay any attention to it.
Thank you for writing this. It’s refreshing to see someone make a point that race is not the issue here. Ron Paul needs to win if we are to have a nation our children can call their own.
Thank you for a great straightforward article. We must all come together and get Dr.Paul elected. It only takes a spark to start a raging fire.I SMELL SMOKE.
I agree with you. Ron Paul over Obama anyday. Vote for Ron Paul 2012
@JC… I did google it. You’re wrong on all your accusations. Google it!
great article and your right many people are not as informed on the matters facing our country. i have to say i was one of those but this year have focused on educating myself and getting more involved. the policies and direction we have maintained the past few decades is bringing this great country to its knees. we need a new direction and Ron Paul has the knowledge and a lot of great answers. i hope his message continues to reach the masses. its great to see real journalism alive and well.
Thank you all. Do frequent my blog. http://rawdawgb.blogspot.com/
Torrance Stephens, PhD.
I applaud your excellent article, sir!
That being said, I would encourage you and all free-thinkers like you, to be sure to find out what the rules are in your state and make SURE you are registered Republican (if only for a year!) so that you can vote for Dr. Paul in the PRIMARY election. This is the MOST important thing you can do. As most of the GOP is against him, we need EVERY single PRIMARY vote we can get so that in November of ’12, his name, not pRick Perry’s is on the ballot.
This is what we really have to work on more than anything else.
Even for those who would rather vote for Obama, it would be in everyone’s best interest to vote for Paul in the primary to keep Perry or Romney from possibly winning the presidency.
Thanks again for your article and please, keep up the good work!
@JC
On segregation, Ron Paul believes that the federal government was correct in desegregating all state institutions but that the state should not impose such laws on private property because it expands the power of government. This only coincides with his belief that the power of government should be limited across the board.
On the racist news letters, Ron Paul says he didn’t write them. I’ve read every single one of his books, and he tends to reiterate his beliefs on various issues over an over again. I’ve never seen anything like the news letters in any of his other writings. Therefore I believe him.
Finally, some signs of intelligent life in the media. Thank you for a very well written article Mr. Stephens. I wish there were more like you out there!
Let’s also not forget about Ron Paul’s many anti-civil rights opinions he now keeps silent on. Let’s also not forget Ron Paul’s highly racist son who crafted his ideology from his father’s teachings, and who is now in the US Senate. Let’s not forget all the bigoted and racist statements this man has made over the years. Let’s not forget Ron Paul is not much of a stretch from KKK leader and Republican David Duke. And for all of you Ron Paul supports who think otherwise just Google it!!!
Great article. I would also like to add that Ron Paul is the only politician in Washington who is willing to address the government policy that has had the greatest negative impact on poor communities – the war on drugs. Prohibition gives birth to violence and gang wars. Each year hundreds of thousands of Americans are thrown into state subsidized slave camps for non-violent drug possession, which destroys lives and rips families apart. The war on drugs is really a war on freedom and its greatest negative impact has been on poor communities, specifically poor Black communities.
As a Black person, I can’t for the life of me understand why so many Black people are state-loving Democrats when the state, starting with our enslavement, has been the major source of many of our issues.
As an, by ancestry, “Irish”, “Slavic” man I’m a guest here but will give my two cents nonetheless. It has taken me a little while to get my mind around the perfidy of the Federal Reserve/Central Bank. They print money out of thin air which is then supposed to be debt for which people must pay tribute, or interest. The interest is never created so there is no means to pay back the debt in full, it only increases further enriching the owner of the central bank. This is partially why, when it first took hold in England they became so predatory, in Africa, India, China and elsewhere, “the sun never sets on the English Empire” as they tried to pay back their debt with others riches. It is also why, coining its own money, the American colonies risked thier necks to revolt.
It is a sad situation now, the world over. While fractional reserve banking compounds the problem, it is an age old issue. Previously for millenia, there were prohibitions against usury, again when these fell in formerly mighty England, all hell broke loose. If one is Christian, there is the odd scene of the Christ becoming angry and driving the money changers from the temple. Makes sense these days.
Dr. Paul understands the income tax is enforced to pay tribute on the money we use for commerce. He might not be able to upend the system, but as you pointed out he would be more peaceful and would “liquidate debt”, i.e. screw it I’m not really in debt to you after all! Heaven knows we can’t afford another game show host president, the stakes are too high now.
Torrance, what an amazing article. Thanks for a truly thoughtful and informative piece of journalism. Anyway you could write for a major newspaper? I really crave this type of detailed analysis.
Fantastic article! It’s nice to read some truth about Ron Paul for a change. The man has done more to advance the cause of liberty in this country than any other politician in the last 100 + years. It’s a shame that so many Americans have been institutionalized by big government that they fear the responsibility of freedom but more and more people are catching on and you can’t stop an idea whose time has come!
Ron Paul 2012!
Someday in the future, we will all look back and say Ron Paul was the best president we ever had! Ron Paul 2012!
Great article. Keep it up, because I’m with you!
Ron Paul over Obama – and I voted for Obama!
Ron Paul is the candidate I can see me going to the poll for.
Ron Paul is Thomas Jefferson of 2012. They called Jefferson mad for wanting to strictly adhere to the constitution.
Excellent article!!!! if I had five thumbs, you would get 5 thumbs up!!!!! Go Dr. Paul!!!!!
great article! A thorough explanation of the Ron Paul Philosophy. Too bad the “mainstream media” prefers broad characterizations and sound bites….
I say it all the time, but the biggest thing wrong with this country is our lack of historical knowledge and understanding our roots. I am white, so maybe our roots are different – but anyone who understands history will understand patterns about government/class/warfare/fiat money/ etc. There are some principles that cannot be ignored, it doesnt matter if your the greatest country in the world – that doesn’t mean you can play empire god.
our public education system leaves young blacks and minorities disinterested and uneducated. assimilated into American materialism and consumerism through media but not given the knowledge to produce real, intellectual, change. Not interested in the MLK’s, the Malcolm X’s, or the BP’s….or the men that came before. Rather, what they do learn is all too much American revisionism and exceptionalism…How America is the greatest country in the world…blah, blah – or they drop out and the vicious cycle of poverty continues.
with 44 million Americans on food stamps
16.4 black unemployment highest its been for 27 years
and 25.8% of blacks living in poverty – it is clear that the government of this country has not and cannot full its promises to minorities and members of the lower class.
But the dependency on the government is so intense, and the poor so uneducated that it is almost impossible to fix the problem. I dont know where the black intellectual movements went, but someone needs to come in with a libertarian mind and preach true individual liberties and freedoms. Yes, having food on the table and a house is necessary for survival…but there is something better out there. Money is not power. Knowledge is power. And there needs to be more people writing and speaking that message.
If only more people had a better understanding of Dr. Ron Paul. You sir did an excellent job explaining Dr. Paul’s positions. Thank you.
And bear in mind that most people CAN vote Ron Paul for president regardless of whether he’s nominated by the republican party or (probably) not.
Forty-two states permit write-in votes during the presidential election. That is, voters can write-in the name of anyone they please on their ballot for president.
Voters can write-in the name Ron Paul for instance.
The only states that do not permit write-in votes are HI, LA, NE, NM, NV, OK, SC, SD .
.
