(ThyBlackMan.com) It looks like Washington Redskins star Albert Haynesworth is having even more problems beyond the ones that led to the Redskins taking him off the field.  Haynesworth has been accused of fondling a young waitress at the W Hotel.  The government offered him a plea bargain, but he’s not taking it.

The prosecution sent a letter to Haynesworth’s attorneys offering to drop the sexual abuse charge against Haynesworth if he would agree to plead  guilty to one count of simple sexual assault.  His attorneys have turned down the offer and said they look forward to their day in court.

Haynesworth’s attorney, A. Scott Bolden,  said that he feels the government’s case is very weak.

“All of the very inflated and beefed-up facts that the W employees have put together, to make fit nicely with the government case, the government has to prove those allegations now,” Bolden said.

According to court papers, Haynesworth was at the W for a birthday party.  The woman accusing him is a full-time college student working in the VIP area.  The woman was clearing tables and Haynesworth wanted her to take his credit card.  According  to the woman, her hands were full, but the player kept pushing his card toward her, tapping her on her arms and shoulders.

After the woman didn’t take the card, Haynesworth allegedly pushed the card down the front of her shirt, inside her bra.  She said that the player then moved his hands around her breast.  She claims that she told him to stop and then walked away.

Another staff member at the hotel said she witnessed the incident and that the waitress nodded to Haynesworth, saying that it was ok to put the card in her shirt (reports are not saying whether she gave him permission to put it inside her bra).  The witness says that the woman’s voice became more tense when Haynesworth put his hand inside her bra.

When the manager confronted Haynesworth about the incident, he replied, “I didn’t touch her.” Also, the document says that Haynesworth referred to the woman as “a little black girl,” and that he “doesn’t even like black girls.”

That big swooshing and crashing sound you’re hearing is the inevitable end of Albert Haynesworth’s NFL career.  While the facts of this particular case are yet to be determined, what has been clear is that Haynesworth’s attitude and behavioral problems have been enough for the Washington Redskins to put their most valuable financial investment on the sidelines.  If Haynesworth does end up outside the NFL or in a jail cell at some point, he will unfortunately be one of a long line of black athletes to end up in trouble with the law.

Personally, I find that at least once a month, I end up writing about some silly incident occurring with some black male athlete in a night club.  While it’s clear that the white guys like to party too, I can’t help but remain concerned about some of the choices that professional athletes seem to make.  Far too many of them are undereducated, overconfident and seem to believe that their livelihoods are made of steel.  Perhaps one day the intellectually-evolved black male athlete  will become the topic of media conversation and athletes going through life without any sense of responsibility will be looked upon with the shame that they deserve.

Also, Haynesworth’s alleged comment about “not even liking black girls” is oddly common among many athletes and insulting to African American women.  I hope he didn’t say the things he’s accused of saying, but the truth is that Haynesworth has about as much credibility as a Republican at an anti-poverty convention.  His case will be weak in the eyes of the public, primarily because he’s spent so many years making himself look like a young version of Lawrence Taylor.
