(ThyBlackMan.com) 2012 will be a defining year for the United States. The corporations have made their choice of whom will represent them in the Republican Party in 2012 and this blogger has no doubt that Sarah Palin will be their nominee. GOPTV aka Fox News essentially established a new form of GOP primary by signing each of the GOP’s 2012 contenders to host their own show and/or exclusivity contracts which only permit them to appear on Fox New during the lead-up. I’d bet my left nut, that at least Palin’s and Huckabee’s contract options come up just in time for them to run. GOPTV is essentially running a Presidential primary based on Nielsen Ratings. And 
the winner, with not one, but two highly viewed TV shows, and guest spots on a third featuring her rhythmless daughter, IS……SARAH….PALIN!
American culture is so devolved at this point that the GOP wins by maximizing its “dummy” factor. Populism of the worse kind is at play and she is the head cheerleader for the Red Team!!! All that’s needed is the alpha-male quarterback, a hay ride, a lynching or two and Americana is back baby! Of said quarterback, how’s Vice-President Mike Pence or Joe Miller strike ya? Vice-President Rubio perhaps? Any relatively young and handsome right-wing sycophant this side of Joe the Plumber will do after all it really is just a popularity contest. Most Americans (white Americans) can identify with these people right?
In the other corner we have an embattled President Obama with his impressive subject matter expertise, legislative and foreign policy accomplishments, and all of the right answers to Caribou Barbie’s talking points. Obama will have the facts and reason on his side. He has the knowledge of his rationale for every single decision he has made while in office in the memory banks and can present them concisely and with startling accuracy and you know what? It may not matter one bit.
The 2012 election is a clear-cut retrial of Carter v. Reagan; race and gender aside for the moment. Barack Obama is the new Jimmy Carter and Sarah Palin is the new Ronald Reagan. The question that will be posed and answered in 2012 is whether or not America has learned from its mistake. Will it reelect the man who put the solar panels on the roof of the White House or will it replace him with the one who ripped them off. Are we still the center-white anti-intellectual country that ushered in Reaganism and the failed policies of trickle-down economics or are we the America that Jimmy Carter spoke of in his famous malaise speech, now awoken from said malaise. Will the American electorate awake from its 2010 malaise in time to save the Republic in 2012 or will it lie down and let the capatalists/fascists further enslave it to the wealthy elite and to their global communist/fascists partners? The choice is yours America: freedom or slavery. It’s just that simple.
